Speed cascade control system of high speed wire rod rolling mill
Abstract:High-speed wire rod rolling mills are characterized by high production, high precision and high speed. Therefore, the speed control system of the rolling mill is quite special. The speed cascade control system is an efficient way to improve the quality and speed of the rolling mill. In this paper, a method for cascaded speed control of high-speed wire rod rolling mill is studied, which has the advantages of good dynamic response, simple adjustment and easy to realize.
1. Introduction
High-speed wire rod rolling mill is a kind of special production line for the continuous rolling of wire rods. Making use of the mechanical transmission of the rolling mill, the rolling process of the wire rods on the rolling mill is completed. The rolling mill has the characteristics of high production efficiency and high product quality. In order to make the rolling process of the rolling mill work better, it is necessary to establish a reasonable speed control system. In order to further improve the speed control system of the rolling mill and meet the needs of production, a reliable speed cascade control system was proposed.
2. Speed cascade control system
Speed cascade control system is a special speed control system, in which the speed control signal is divided into several stages, and each stage is controlled by a set of cascade system. Such a control system has the advantages of simple adjustment and easy to realize. The speed cascade control system includes the subsystem of speed loading, speed adjustment and speed senor. In each stage of speed control, different control signals are adopted, and the overall control effect is improved.
2.1 Speed loading
In the speed cascade control system of high-speed wire rod rolling mill, the speed loading is the first link in the speed control. The aim is to make the rolling mill run at the required speed quickly. Generally, in the high-speed wire rod rolling mill, it needs to be loaded quickly. In order to meet this requirement, a high-performance speed loading unit is adopted. This unit includes an adjustable speed loading gain, an electronic governor and a speed loading follower.
2.2 Speed adjustment
The high-speed wire rod rolling mill is mainly used for producing wire rods, so the speed of the rolling mill should be adjusted according to the size of the rods. In order to achieve this, a speed adjustment subsystem is needed in the speed cascade control system. This subsystem mainly consists of a speed sensor, a controller and a servo motor. The controller can adjust the speed of the servo motor according to the detected size of the rods, so as to realize the speed adjustment of the rolling mill.
2.3 Speed sensor
In the speed cascade control system of high-speed wire rod rolling mill, the speed sensor is the key device which can detect the speed of the rolling mill in real time. The speed sensor is mainly composed of a photoelectric sensor and an encoder. The encoder can convert the linear displacement of the rolling mill into an electrical signal, which is used to detect the speed of the rolling mill.
3. Experiments and analysis
In order to verify the effectiveness of the speed cascade control system of high-speed wire rod rolling mill, a set of experiments were conducted. The experimental device mainly consists of a high-speed wire rod rolling mill and a speed cascade control system. In the experiment, the speed of the rolling mill was set to 1000 m/min, and then the speed of the rolling mill was changed to 700 m/min. The results of the experiment showed that the speed cascade control system could effectively adjust the speed of the rolling mill and make the speed changes smoothly, which shows that the system has good dynamic response.
4. Conclusions
This paper studies a speed cascade control system of high-speed wire rod rolling mill. The system consists of a speed loading, speed adjustment, and speed sensor subsystem. The experiments show that the speed cascade control system can effectively adjust the speed of the rolling mill and has good dynamic response. This system has the advantages of simple adjustment and easy to realize, which can be widely used in the speed control system of the rolling mill.
