GB 1499-1998 Hot Rolled Ribbed Steel Bars Length and Tolerance

The allowable deviation of the length of ribbed steel bars of length greater than or equal to 6 meters shall not exceed ± 0.5%.
The length of the steel bars in a bundle shall not be continuously longer than an allowable deviation of ± 2 m. The total length of steel bars in a bundle shall not be more than 5 times of the maximum allowable deviation. For those ribbed steel bars specified in items 3.2 and 3.3 of Table 1 in GB 1499-1998 Hot Rolled Ribbed Steel Bars Length and Tolerance, the length of the steel bars in a bundle shall not be continuously longer than an allowable deviation of ± 1 m.
To guarantee the accuracy of the length of steel bars, the seller shall properly arrange the production and make sure the deviation does not exceed the limits. If the deviation exceeded the limits, the seller should scrap them and make a new production according to the requirements. The quality inspection department should measure the length of each steel bar with a tape measure to guarantee the contract requirement is fulfilled.
