Clean Production Audit — Feasibility Analysis
Introduction
A clean production audit is a process that evaluates the environmental impact of production activities, from raw material extraction to the end-of-life product disposal, across a wide range of industries and sectors. The audit focuses on the use of energy, materials, water, and wastes generated throughout the production process. It also examines the implementation of environmental protection management systems, environmental policies, and legislation. This paper will discuss the feasibility of a clean production audit as a means of identifying and reducing environmental priorities for production systems.
Method
The project will be conducted using a mixed methods approach, which includes both quantitative and qualitative data collection. Quantitative data will be collected through an online survey, which will include questions about the production activities and the environmental standards currently in place. Qualitative data will be obtained through interviews with personnel from the production companies, as well as stakeholders from other relevant organizations, such as environmental protection agencies and NGOs.
Results
The survey will allow us to identify the most pressing environmental issues faced by the production companies, as well as the level of engagement with established environmental protection protocols. The interviews will provide us with further insights into the daily operations of the companies, and help us identify potential improvements to their environmental management systems.
Conclusion
The proposed project is highly feasible, as it uses well-established data collection methods and involves a comprehensive evaluation of the environmental impact of production processes. The results of the project will enable us to identify environmental issues and propose solutions to mitigate them. Additionally, the project will serve as a guide for other industries seeking to undertake similar audits, and create evidence of positive social and environmental impacts of clean production activities.
