My Life Experiences
Growing up, I faced many challenges and experiences that molded me into the person I am today. My family and I moved around quite a bit, to different states and even a different country. Moving constantly made it difficult for me to make lasting friendships and I had to learn how to adapt to new environments quickly. I also had to deal with being bullied in school, which was especially difficult to overcome since I had no one to talk to. Despite all this, I was still able to find ways to stay positive, such as participating in after school activities like band and theater.
I also faced this same challenge when I started college. I had to develop a whole new sense of self-confidence to take control of my academic goals and chart my own path. This felt like a huge task at first, because college felt completely different than the public school I attended. I was surrounded by students who seemed to already have their lives figured out, and I had to learn how to build a support network within my new environment. Thankfully, I was able to make some wonderful friends and find a few mentors who I could go to for advice.
One of the most valuable life lessons I have learned through my experiences is that it is important to create a sense of balance in my life. I was so focused on my academic performance in school that I forgot to take care of my mental and physical health. This balance has been essential to my success and well-being, as I have found ways to stay positive and maintain my optimism through things such as yoga and meditation.
Overall, I have gained many important life experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. I have learned the importance of balancing my values when making decisions in school and in my personal life. I have also become more confident and self-assured in various situations, knowing that I can pursue my passions even if things seem overwhelming. Life has not been easy, but it has definitely been an incredible journey thus far.
