Underground Engineering Waterproofing Technology Specification (GB50108-2001)
This standard specifies the technical requirements and acceptance criteria of waterproof engineering design and construction, the process of detection, acceptance, maintenance and management of underground engineering waterproofing. This standard applies to the design and construction of waterproof projects of underground engineering and the detection, acceptance, maintenance and management of these projects.
1. Design Requirement and Technical Specification
1.1 Waterproof Design Confirmation
The structural waterproof design capability of the construction unit shall be able to meet the requirements of waterproof technology.
1.2 Drainage Confirmation
The main drainageway of various liquid water sources shall be identified and the design of drainage system shall meet the requirements.
1.3 Confirmation of Other Tailored Requirement
The design and construction of other tailored waterproofing requirements shall be determined according to their actual situation.
2. Construction Requirement
2.1 Construction of Backfill Materials
The construction of backfill material shall meet the requirements of compaction and shall not contain soluble pollutants, non-aqueous materials and other toxic pollutants.
2.2 Construction of Waterproof Layers
The construction quality of waterproof layers shall meet the requirements. The materials used and construction craftsmanship must confirm to the design requirements.
2.3 Construction of Drainage System
The construction of the drainage system of underground engineering shall meet the requirements of prevention and drainage.
2.4 Other Requirements
The construction of other waterproofing requirements shall meet the requirements of the design.
3. Detection
3.1 Scope of Detection
The inspection of waterproof engineering shall include both the physical quality of waterproof materials and the waterproof effect of the construction.
3.2 Inspection Forms
The inspection of waterproof engineering shall include spot check, overall inspection and inspection after operation.
3.3 Requirements of Inspection Items

Therefore, this standard applies to the design, construction, testing, acceptance, maintenance and management of waterproof engineering. The content of this standard is divided into five parts. The first part specifies the requirements and technical requirements of design, the second part specifies the requirements of construction, the third part specifies the requirements of inspection, the fourth part specifies the requirements of acceptance, and the fifth part specifies the requirements of maintenance and management. The content and process specified in this standard shall be followed as strictly as possible to ensure the quality of the waterproof engineering and improve its performance.
