Alloy Structural Steel Round Tube Billet
This article introduces the commonly used alloy structural steel round tube billets and their performance and usage。 Alloy structural steel round tube billets (ybt5221-1993) refer to hot-rolled or cold-drawn steel tube billets conditioned in accordance with specified chemical composition and heat treatment。 Steel and steel billets are made of ordinary carbon structural steel, low alloy structural steel or alloy structural steel。 They are applicable in mechanical manufacturing, pressure vessels and other fields。 The main specification of the alloy structural steel round tube billet is the size of the wall thickness, which can be divided into four different materials
The first material is carbon structural steel, which has two main types: ordinary carbon structural steel (Q195, Q215, Q235, Q255 and Q275) and welding structure steel (Q195G、Q195T、Q235G、Q235T、16Mn etc.). C or C-Mn billet whose carbon content is less than 0.25%, the maximum silicon content is 0.5%。 The mechanical properties and process performance of this type of steel are general.
The second material is low alloy steel. This material includes all kinds of low alloy, such as 16Mn, 15MnV, 15Mo3 and 16Mo3, etc. Compared with ordinary carbon structural steel, this material has higher mechanical properties, better process performance and lower cost.
The third material is alloy structural steel. This material is also divided into two types, low-alloy structural steel (SC). Low-alloy structural steel is mainly used for producing mechanical parts with strong resistance to impact, it requires its structure to remain unchanged in use. High-alloy structural steel (with alloy elements such as Cu, Cr, Ni, Mo and so on) is mainly used in petroleum, chemical and other industries that require high strength and corrosion resistance.
The fourth material is stainless steel. This material has superior acid and alkali resistance, oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance. It is mainly used in food, medical and chemical industries. The most commonly used stainless steel is 201, 202, 304, 304L, 316, 316L. The 304 is an austentic stainless steel with medium carbon content, good corrosion resistance and toughness.
Alloy structural steel round tube billets (ybt5221-1993) has excellent performance, so it is widely used in various industries. In addition, the cost performance ratio is suitable. Therefore, this kind of material is very popular among users.
