China Instrument and Meter Industry Association
China Instrument and Meter Industry Association ( CIMIA) is a professional organization for instrument and meter industry in China. It was founded in Beijing in 1997, and is under the direct leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China. The purpose of the association is to promote the modernization and development of instrument and metering technology, and to serve state-of-the-art products of instrument and metering industry in China. CIMIA plays an important role in the technological progress in the industry, providing technical support and information exchange for instrument and meter industry.
CIMIA have organized a variety of activities to promote the development of the instrument and metering industry in China. The association has established close cooperation with well-known domestic and foreign research institutions, technology companies, and instrument and meter industry associations from around the world, to conduct comprehensive exchanges on technology, equipment and products. During its 20-year-old history, CIMIA has established industry technical research projects and issued standards, published instrument and meter industry development reports, held professional seminars, exhibitions, business talks and trade fairs, set up professional committees, provided industry information services and provided various professional training courses.
In addition to the activities above, CIMIA also took part in multiple international events and activities, participated in various international standardization conferences, and expanded its international exchange platform and publiciztion with joint efforts of its members to explore international markets and create business opportunities.With its mission of “serve the industry development, promote technological progress, enable superior instrument and meter products”, CIMIA pursues to promote the high-quality development of China’s instrument and meter industry, and create a better environment for the industry upgrading and transformation.
CIMIA will continue to work with its members, to further strengthen the global exchanges, enhance the technological level, promote market development and build strong R&D capabilities, in an effort to solidify the foundation and make greater contributions to the growth of Chinas instrument and metering industry. Ultimately, CIMIA is devoted to continuously promoting the modernization and development of China’s instrument and metering industry, to better serve the society and benefit peoples livelihood.
