GB/T 713-1997 specifies the mechanical and technological properties of steel plates for boilers. Normative references, detailed rules, characteristic conditions, and marking requirements of steel plates for boilers are indicated.
This Standard applies to stainless steel and alloy steel plated for pressure vessels manufactured by hot rolling, controlled rolling or normalizing, and also applies to plates manufactured by normalizing and tempering, quenching and tempering, or quenching and partitioning. This Standard does not apply to stainless steel plates manufactured by cold rolling.
This Standard applies to steel plates with a thickness of 3 mm ~ 200 mm and with a maximum single weight of 14 tons. The steel plates are delivered in the normalizing state.
The Mechanical Properties contained in this Standard include tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation, which shall comply with the requirements of this Standard.
The Technology Properties contained in this Standard include thickness, width, edge treatment, etc., as well as the chemical composition, which shall comply with the requirements of this Standard.
The Marking contained in this Standard indicates the name of the manufacturer, product name, specification, etc.
Impact tests shall be performed in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 229, GB/T 998, and GB/T 6379.
The mechanical properties of steel plates for boilers are indicated in Table 1, Table 2, and Table 3.
Table 1 lists the Type 1 steel plates for boilers. Table 2 lists the Type 2 steel plates for boilers. Table 3 lists the Type 3 steel plates for boilers.
The technology properties of steel plates for boilers are indicated in Table 4. Table 4 lists the details of the chemical composition, width, length, thickness, and edge treatment of steel plates for boilers.
If the steel plates supplied are non-standard products, they shall be indicated in the Marking. If there is no explicit meaning in the Marking, it can be understood as standard products.
The Marking of steel plates for boilers are indicated in Table 5. Table 5 lists the details of the name of the manufacturer, product name, specification, and marking requirements for steel plates for boilers.
This Standard does not include the rules for ordering, quality assurance and inspection and acceptance, which shall be negotiated and determined by the supplier and the purchaser.
