1. General Requirements
1.1 The building fire protection design specification should meet the requirements of relevant laws, regulations and standards, and take fire safety as the basic principle.
1.2 The building fire protection design should be based on the characteristics of building structure and use types, and take reasonable preventive measures against fire hazardous and destruction of fire at source.
1.3 Fire protection design should be in compliance with the fire resistant performance standards and fire prevention rating requirements specified in GBJ 16—87.
1.4 Fire protection design should have early warning, fire prevention and fire extinguishing measures and ensure life safety for citizens or personnel in the building.
2. Requirements for Fire Separation
2.1 Fire separations between buildings should be designed in compliance with the requirements of the fire safety regulations and the fire resistance performance of separations should meet the requirements in GBJ 16—87.
