Analysis on the Detection and Automatic Control System of Coking Coal Production
Abstract
Coking coal is a kind of coal with a higher coking capacity, which is mainly used for coal-fired coking and steel producing in metallurgical industry. The characteristics of coking coal determine that the coking coal production process should be strictly controlled and realized. However, in the coking coal production process, there is a lack of monitoring and control systems, which brings a lot of inconvenience to the operation and management of coking Coal. In this paper, the problems existing in the detection and automatic control system of coking coal production are analyzed in detail, and a set of advanced wireless sensing technology-based coking coal production detection and automatic control system is proposed.

1. Introduction
Coking coal is a kind of coal that can be carbonized under high temperature, has high strength and coking capacity, and its carbonization products are mainly used as fuel and reductant in metallurgical industry. The quality of coking coal has a great impact on the coking quality and production cost of steel. Therefore, in coking coal production, strict detection and automatic control is essential.
At present, in coking coal production process, there are few requirements for the detection of coking coal in enterprises, and it has not developed well in terms of monitoring and control of the whole process. Manually reducing the temperature by visual inspection during the cooling process will lead to unstable quality of coking coal. On the one hand, the longterm uneven cooling process of coking coal will cause great economic loss; on the other hand, it will also lead to environmental pollution.
2. Problems of current coking coal production detection and automatic control system
At present, the main problems of coking coal production detection and automatic control system are as follows:
Firstly, the production process is difficult to grasp, and the data is tried to be presented by monitoring table and hot charts. The changes in the production process can only be judged manually by experienced workers, and it is difficult to find the differences accurately.
Secondly, the whole process is unstable, and the temperature of the material surface is only based on subjective judgment. It is difficult to ensure the stability of the whole cooling process.
Thirdly, the whole process is not controllable. The manual temperature control can only be based on experience, which can not meet the stringent requirements of coking coal production.
Thirdly, the production process of coking coal without real-time data information can not accurately measure and control the quality parameters of coking coal.
4. Design of Wireless Sensing Technology-based Coking Coal Production Detection and Automatic Control System
4.1 Sensor Network Structure
The sensing structure of coking coal production in this system is formed by distributed wireless sensor network (WSN). The structure includes two parts of data collection and data transmission. Sensors located in different positions of the production process collect the temperature, pressure and other parameters of the fuel oil coking coal production process,and use Zigbee transmission protocol to transmit data to the network coordinator, which is connected to the global cloud platform with Ethernet protocol and can be monitored in real-time.
4.2 Data Capture and Analysis Technology
In this system, sensors placed on the production process of coking coal capture temperature, pressure and other parameters. The collected data is analyzed and classified by the data analysis platform. The temperature data is discretized, and the range of normal temperature is set for the cooling process. In this range, the cooling process is stable; if not, the monitoring system will give an alarm to ensure the quality of coking coal.
4.3 Automatic Control Technology
The automatic control technology adopted in the monitoring system of coking coal production is the control technology based on PID adjustable parameter. The control system adjusts the parameters of the coolers according to the temperature and other parameters monitored by the sensors, and adjusts the speed of the coolers so that the temperature variation of the coolers can be kept stable.
Conclusion
In coking coal production, the monitoring and control system is an important part of the production process. In this paper, an application architecture of wireless sensor network-based coking coal production detection and control system is proposed. By using this system, the data acquisition and control of coking coal production process can be realized in real time, and the quality of coking coal production can be guaranteed by monitoring and control.
