Coal Screen Operating Procedure
This operating procedure is designed to provide guidelines for operating the coal screen in order to ensure the safety of personnel and proper functioning of coal screening equipment.
1) Place the coal on the conveyor belt of the coal screen and configure the settings according to the required size of coal (e.g. mesh size)
2) Before commencement of operation, check each sieving device to determine whether there are foreign objects or other obstructions and take appropriate action to rectify them.
3) Switch on the power and check that the drive wheels and vibrator are working properly.
4) Start the conveyor belt and coal feeder and continually feed coal to the sieves.
5) Check the size of the coal on the sieves and adjust the output of the feeder accordingly.
6) Regularly take samples to ensure accuracy of the sieving process and make adjustments to the sieves as needed.
7) Monitor the temperature of the sieves, as well as the frequency of the vibrator, as high temperatures can cause damage to the sieves.
8) When shutting down the coal screen, turn off the power and cease feeding coal to the sieves.
9) Ensure that all foreign objects and debris are cleared from the sieves in order to prevent them from becoming lodged within the sieve.
10) After the coal screen has been shut down and all personnel are clear of the sieve, check the safety systems and adjust if necessary.
11) After the coal screen has been cleared of coal, clean out any foreign material, dust or dirt that may have build up during the screening process.
12) Check all moving parts and maintenance work that needs to be done and proceed accordingly.
In conclusion, it is imperative that the coal screen operating procedure is strictly adhered to in order to ensure personnel safety and proper functioning of the equipment. Regular maintenance of the sieves and safety checks should be conducted in order to ensure that the operation of the coal screen is running smoothly and efficiently.
