30Mn2MoW alloy structural steel is a low carbon, low alloy quenched and tempered steel which has high strength, good hardenability, high ductility and good weldability. It is especially suitable for welding purposes and can be used in a variety of applications, including heat-treated parts, such as shipbuilding, automotive, agricultural equipment and construction machinery.

30Mn2MoW alloy structural steel is produced with chemical compositions of 0.25-0.35% carbon, 0.45-0.60% manganese, 0.40-0.50% molybdenum, 0.10-0.20% tungsten, and trace amounts of silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, and other admixtures. This combination of chemical components results in a steel which has tensile strength in the range of 780-1200 MPa (115-175 ksi).
