Introduction
High-speed wire rolling mill is widely used in the production of power grids, communication wires and high-speed railway trains. It belongs to the lathe family. It is a fully enclosed rolling mill formed by continuous rolling with steel wires of certain diameters as raw materials and for certain purposes. The high-speed wire rolling mill is characterized by its fast rolling speed and large output, which can reach more than 150m/min. Compared with traditional round bars and steel pipes, the rolling products have higher strength and accuracy, and the rolling process can reduce the oxidation of the metal products, thereby reducing the energy consumption and cost of the production process. To ensure the normal operation of the high-speed wire rolling mill, it is necessary to use the advanced control technology of electrical automation system.
Control structure of electrical automation system
The electrical automation system of the high-speed wire rolling mill usually consists of four parts, including process control system, main control system, information management system and human-computer interaction system.
The process control system is the core part of the electrical automation system of the high-speed wire rolling mill, which is responsible for the overall control of the rolling mill, such as motor speed control, motor overload protection, electric lubrication, hydraulic pressure balance and other related operations. This system usually adopts servo system composed of electric, hydraulic and pneumatic control. The ACS6000 series frequency converter is used as the main regulator. It has high performance, wide speed range, high precision and fast response. The electric cylinder and hydraulic cylinder, as well as the valves for controlling the recycling and dropping of oil, are also used.
Besides the frequency converter, the system also uses a supervisory computer to realize the expected data points. The main control system includes a computer, an industrial control system and other control devices. It is responsible for the overall control of the rolling mill and provides necessary data for the operation of the rolling mill. The main control system is a complete industrial computer control system, which not only monitors the rolling speed, rolling force, temperature and other physical parameters of the rolling mill during the rolling process, but also calculates the correct rolling parameters to ensure the quality of the rolling products.
The information management system is a combination of software and hardware, its purpose is to track the operation of the rolling mill and collect data to form production records, ensuring that no important information is lost. In general, this system is composed of industrial control computers, various communication and monitoring sensors, programmable controllers, printers, etc. The responsibility of the system is to ensure the correctness of the data collected through regular sampling, storage and analysis, and to provide scientific reports for the optimization of production.
The last interface for human-computer interaction is the human-computer interaction system, which is used to allow the operator to manipulate the operation of the entire rolling mill. This system includes a monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc. It displays the information of the main control system in a graphical interface, and allows the user to monitor and control the operation of the whole machine. In addition, it also provides some operational parameters and relevant information to the operator, which enables the operator to make timely and effective operational decisions.
Conclusion
High-speed wire rolling mill is an advanced and efficient production equipment, but due to its complexity and high rolling speed, it requires the application of advanced control technology of electrical automation system to ensure its normal operation. The control structure of the electrical automation system of the high-speed wire rolling mill includes process control system, main control system, information management system and human-computer interaction system. Process control system includes some servo systems, responsible for the periodic rolling of the mill and forward and backward rolling, etc. Main control system is mainly composed of a computer, an industrial control system and other controllers, responsible for overall control of the rolling mill and providing necessary information for its operation. The information management system is specifically responsible for tracking the operation of the rolling mill and collecting data to form production records, thereby ensuring the correctness of each operation. The last interface for human-computer interaction is the human-computer interaction system, which allows the operator to manipulate the operation of the entire rolling mill and obtain operational parameters and relevant data.
