Richard Pascoe
Richard Pascoe is a well-known British stand-up comedian, actor and TV presenter, who has been working in the entertainment industry for more than 25 years.
Richard was born in London, England. He is of African-Caribbean origin, which has definitely been integrated into his content and style of comedy over the years. At the age of 16, he won the coveted National Youth Theater Award, showing his early talent and promise as an entertainer.
For the next few years, Richard worked hard to gain experience in the theater, performing in various plays and musicals. In 2000, he decided to make the transition from stage to stand-up comedy, performing gigs all around the UK. During this time, Richard won numerous awards for his comedy and was even named Young British Comedian of the Year at the 2010 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
From 2011 onwards, Richard’s profile rose further, appearing on various TV and radio shows such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo and 8 Out of 10 Cats, among many others. He also went on to have his own shows, Richard Pascoe Live and The Richard Pascoe Chat Show.
Apart from his stand-up comedy and acting, Richard has also been involved in several social and charity projects, notably as a patron of London’s Keats House Museum. He’s also an avid writer and is currentlyworking on a novel which he plans to publish in the near future.
As of today, Richard continues to tour the UK, performing in stand-up comedy shows and performing in a wide variety of TV and radio shows. Despite being in his 50s, there’s no sign of him slowing down anytime soon and it’s certainly safe to say he will be around for many more years to come.
