GB9460-88 Copper and Copper Alloy Welding Wire
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the Peoples Republic of China issued a standard (GB9460-88) to control the quality of copper and copper alloy welding wire. The standard covers the welding wires with a diameter of 0.8 mm to 4.0 mm used in arc welding and gas shielding welding.
The welding wires should meet the following requirements:
1. Chemical composition type: The alloy composition should be in accordance with the standard requirement, and any alloy component should not exceed the maximum value.
2. Mechanical properties: The welding wires should have the required mechanical properties when tested according to the prescribed procedures, and the tensile strength should not be less than the minimum value.
3. Surface quality: The surface of the welding wires should be smooth, free from pits, cracks, bubbles and other defects. The surface of the cutting section should be free from visible scale and tears, and the paint should meet the requirement.
4. Coil specification: The welding wire should meet the specification requirements.
5. Appearance and packaging: The appearance and packaging of the welding wire should meet the requirements made according to the product.
6. Quality inspection: The quality of the welding wires should be in accordance with the requirements of GB9460-88.
The implementation of this standard indicates that the quality of copper and copper alloy welding wire in the Peoples Republic of China is controlled strictly according to this standard. This not only guarantees the quality of the welding wires, but also ensures the safety of welding operation, protects the health and life of welders and meets the requirements of national energy conservation, emissions reduction and sustainable development.
