Seamless Steel Pipes for High Pressure Fertilizer Equipment Manufacture and Delivery State

This standard deals with the seamless steel pipes that are used in high pressure fertilizer equipment, specifying the requirements and delivery states of the pipes.

1. Scope

This standard specifies requirements and delivery states of seamless steel tubes used in high pressure fertilization equipment, chemical engineering and stainless steel chemical equipment.

2. Normative references

The following documents are essential for the application of this standard:

a) GB 222;

b) GB 699;

c) GB 700 and

d) GB/T 8163-1992.

3. Terms and definitions

For the purposes of this standard, the following standards apply:

a) Delivery State: stipulates the conditions of delivery for steel pipe, from the manufacturer to customer.

b) Steel Pipe: is a long, hollow shaped metal pipe produced by either hot or cold rolling.

c) Rolled steel pipe: is produced by rolling a piece of hot-rolled steel on a rolling machine, producing a smooth, narrow pipe with high precision.

d) Cold-rolled steel pipe: is produced by rolling a sheet of hot-rolled steel on a cold rolling machine, producing a smooth, narrow and high precision pipe.

4. Materials

4.1 General requirements

The materials and parameters for the production of the steel pipes are stipulated in the relevant standards identified in clause 2.

4.2 Steel grade and chemical composition

The steel grade and chemical composition shall meet the requirements of GB 222, GB 699, GB 700 and GB/T 8163-1992.

4.3 Mechanical properties

The steel pipes must meet the minimum mechanical properties in GB 222, GB 699, GB 700 and GB/T 8163-1992.

5. Manufacturing

The steel pipes shall be manufactured using the technology specified in the relevant standards identified in clause 2.

6. Inspection and testing
