The Polishing Technique of Plastic Products
In the manufacturing process of plastic products, polishing is an important process that can greatly improve the surface quality of plastic products and make them look more beautiful. Polishing can significantly improve the surface roughness, reduce surface scratches and spots, and improve the products service life.
First of all, before carrying out polishing, it is necessary to check whether the surface of the product meets the requirements, so as to select the appropriate method according to the nature of the product surface, such as whether manual polishing or mechanical polishing needs to be carried out.
Manual polishing:
Manual polishing refers to the use of polishing tools such as sandpaper, square pads, angleizers and polishing blocks to complete the surface polishing of the product. The polishing tool is better to choose a flat one, and it can be supplemented with different abrasives to match different products. Before polishing, it is necessary to clean the product surface to ensure that there is no dirt on the surface. Then apply a proper amount of polishing paste to the surface, and evenly rub it with the polishing block or other tools for about 1-2 minutes. Finally, rinse the surface to remove excess paste and impurities.
Mechanical polishing:
Mechanical polishing mainly uses sandpaper or special polishing pads as raw materials, and relies on mechanical power to drive the polishing wheels to rapidly rotate, conduct grinding and polishing on the substrate. The degree and intensity of polishing is directly related to the pressure and the number of laps during the polishing process. Generally speaking, the larger the number of laps and the greater the pressure, the higher the quality of the polishing. And the polishing time does not have to be too long. As the polishing quality increases, the polishing speed will decrease, and finally, the polishing process is terminated when the desired effect is reached.
In short, plastic product polishing is a very important process in plastic industry. In order to obtain high quality plastic product surface, it is necessary to carefully choose the polishing method according to the actual product surface, and before polishing, it is necessary to clean the product surface and choose appropriate abrasives to match with the product. Meanwhile, it is necessary to master the appropriate pressure, laps and polishing time reasonably during the polishing process, so as to ensure the quality of the product.
