Introduction

P235GH is a European specified steel for use in pressure vessels, boilers and heat exchangers. The composition of this steel makes it ideal for applications where elevated working temperatures are the norm and its used by fabricators throughout the oil, gas and petrochemical industry.

P235GH is a normalized carbon alloy steel and is available ex-stock from our warehouse with mill certification and stamping. This double certification is the higher of standard BS EN 10204:1991: 2.1 or 2.2.

Chemical Composition

P235GH is the EN chemical designation. It has a moderately high embodied energy and a moderately low tensile strength among wrought carbon or non-alloy steels.
