Galvanized steel/tin plated steel sheet and strip (GB/T2520-1988)
Galvanized steel sheet and strip (GB/T2520-1988) is a kind of steel with layer of zinc coating on the surface obtained by hot-dip galvanizing. There are two kinds of galvanizing, electrogalvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing. The passivation and chromate treatment on the surface of the zinc layer, combined with the organic rust inhibitor, are used to improve the corrosion resistance of the galvanized steel plate.
The galvanized plate is divided into cold-rolled substrate and hot-rolled substrate according to the manufacturing method. It is divided into general purpose, deep drawing quality and bake hardening quality according to the application performance.
In order to improve the corrosion resistance of galvanized steel plate, tinplate can be added by electroplating method or hot-dip galvanizing method on the surface of zinc layer of galvanized steel plate to form galvanized tinplate. The tin layer is usually 0.1~0.15mm thick. Tin plating also has two kinds: electrolytic tin plating and hot-dip tin plating.
In order to further improve adhesion between the protective plated layer and the base material of the formable galvanized steel plate, the formable galvanized steel plate is heated and pressurized. The process is called pre-coated (pre-painted). In this way, precoated (pre-painted) galvanized steel sheet and strip can get more excellent formability and corrosion resistance.
In general, galvanized steel sheet and strip (GB /T2520-1988) is available in a variety of specifications. The thickness of sheet usually ranges from 0.11mm to 5.0mm, width from 1000mm to 2100mm and length from 2000mm to 6000mm.
Galvanised steel/tin plate sheet and strip (GB/T2520-1988) is widely used in construction, automotive, pressure vessels, bridge, home appliance manufacturing and other industries, due to its excellent corrosion resistance, good formability and weldability, it is one of the most widely used materials.
Galvanized steel/tinplate steel sheet and strip (GB/T2520-1988) is also environmentally friendly and can be recycled. Therefore, it is an ideal material for users who need to consider energy conservation and environmental protection.
In summary, hot dipped galvanized steel / tinplate steel sheet and strip (GB/T2520-1988) advantages include good corrosion resistance, good formability and weldability, texture and easy to process, good adhesion and durability, economical and environmentally friendly, wide range of uses. It has become an important material for the modern industry and peoples daily life.
