UNS S22150 (Alloy 22-2.5Mo)
UNS S22150 (Alloy 22-2.5Mo) is a low-alloy austenitic stainless steel containing 2.5% molybdenum to improve its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-containing environments. It exhibits good high temperature strength and offers superior resistant to general corrosion and stress-corrosion cracking.
Alloy 22-2.5Mo is a frequently-used material in operations requiring resistance to strong acids, including sulfuric and hydrochloric acid.
