Introduction
39 CrMoV13-9(X38CrMoV5-3) is a common corrosion resistant cast steel, belonging to the Cr-Mo-V series of stainless steel. It is an ideal material for various application and mainly used for producing valves, containers, bolts and parts that are used to work in chemical and petroleum industries with temperatures not higher than 600℃.

Heat Treatment
Annealing: The steel should be annealed at 760℃ to 840℃ and then furnace cooled.
Normalizing: Normalizing should be done at 880℃ to 920℃ and the steel should be cooled in air.
Solution Annealing: This method should be used at 980℃ and then cooled in water or quenched oil.
Hardening: The hardening temperature should be 930℃ and then cooled in oil or water.
Welding
The steel can be welded by conventional methods.
