The Life and Career of Laura D’Alessandro
Laura D’Alessandro is an athletics coach and author known for her expertise in the craft. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1982 and has an impressive career that started at an early age. From a young age, D’Alessandro loved athletics and was determined to pursue a career in the sport. She went on to become a successful coach and writer.
In her youth, D’Alessandro was a talented and hardworking student. She participated in numerous track and field events, while attending a local Brooklyn high school. She was awarded the National Scholastic Athletic Association Most Outstanding High School Student (MOSHS) award in 1999, which helped her to establish her athletic credentials.
After graduating from high school, D’Alessandro wanted to take her passion for athletics to the next level. She attended Fordham University, where she studied Exercise Science, which allowed her to gain valuable knowledge on the scientific principles at the heart of athletic performance.
When she graduated college, D’Alessandro began her career in the sport. She started off as an assistant coach for a track and field team at Fordham. She then moved on to become the head coach of a local track and field team in Brooklyn. In this role, she was able to further hone her ability to coach athletes and develop their talents.
D’Alessandro was then given her biggest opportunity yet; a position as a strength and conditioning coach for the United States Olympic team. This was an incredible honor for her, as she had achieved the dream of a lifetime. She worked with the athletes for over five years, helping them to develop their strategies and reach their peak potential.
After this experience, D’Alessandro became a respected figure in athletics. She was invited to speak at several prestigious events, most notably the Olympic Games in London 2012. She has also authored several books on the subject, which explore the science behind athletics and provide practical advice on how to become a better athlete.
Today, D’Alessandro is still passionate about athletics and continues to coach athletes and teach them the craft. She currently works as a senior coach for the New York Track and Field club, and also teaches part-time at the local college. She has now shifted her focus to writing, and hopes to continue sharing her knowledge and experience with the world. She is an inspirational figure that serves as a role model to those hoping to pursue a career in athletics.
