GB/T 713-1997 Steel Plates for Boiler and Pressure Vessels
This standard GB/T 713-1997 was jointly established by Chinas General Administration of Quality Supervision and Testing Committee of Machinery Industry and Metallurgical Industry standardization work group on April 12, 1997. This standard states the standard number, chemical composition, chemical composition of the steel plate and mechanical properties requirements for the steel plate used in the process of manufacturing the pressure vessel and boiler of CHINA.
1.Standard Number:
GB/T 713-1997 Steel Plates for Boiler and Pressure Vessels.
2.Chemical Composition:
The chemical composition of the steel plate used in CHINAs boilers and pressure vessels should comply with the requirements of the relevant steel grade standard.
3. Mechanical Properties Requirements；
The mechanical properties of CHINAs boiler and pressure vessel steel plates shall meet the requirements of the relevant steel grade standard GB/T 713-1997.
4. Electric Plates:
Electric plates are used for the purpose of welding or electric heat treatment or planing, or for site welding or heating, of steel sheet and steel plates for boilers and pressure vessels in CHINA.
5. Other Requirements:
(1) In order to guarantee the quality and safety of boilers and pressure vessels in CHINA, the surface quality and the thickness deviation of the steel sheet and steel plates must comply with the relevant national standards, such as GB/T12770-1991,GB/T 8165-1987 and GB/T3077-1999.
(2) For welded materials, the overall performance requirements should meet the provisions of national standard GB/T11352-1989 and the relevant product code.
(3) For steel plates and steel sheets used for manufacturing the pressure containers of the nuclear power station, their overall performance should comply with the provisions of national standard GB/T19073-200.
6. Protective:
The steel plates used in the Boiler and Pressure Vessel must be provided with protective measures such as anti-rust paint or metal anti-rust paint in order to prevent the weather or other factors from changing the mechanical properties or chemical composition of the steel.
7. Inspection and Acceptance:
When the material of the steel plate for the manufacture of boilers and pressure vessels arrives at the factory, it must be inspected and accepted according to the provisions of the relevant technology of GB/T222 and GB/T223. The product must pass the test before it can be put into production.
