Acid-resistant refractory material
Introduction
Refractory materials have wide applications in various industries which involve high temperature work, such as making glass, steel and cement manufacturing, etc. Acid resistant refractory material, with high corrosion and temperature resistance and good chemical stability, is specially used in alkaline and acidic environments. Compared with ordinary refractories, acid-resistant refractory material has better performance in resisting erosion, which makes it more popular in industries like nonferrous and ferrous metallurgy, chemical, power and environmental protection.
Classification of acid-resistant refractory material
Generally, acid-resistant refractory material can be classified into several types according to production methods, compositions, structures and purpose.
1.According to production methods, acid-resistant refractory material can be divided into monolithic refractory material and refractory brick. The former is made of clay and other binders while the latter is mainly made of fire clay and bonding clay.
2.According to compositions, acid-resistant refractory material can be divided into acidic refractory material, alkaline refractory material, neutral refractory material and heat-resistant material.
3.According to structures, acid-resistant refractory material can be divided into plastic refractory material and castable refractory material. Plastic refractory material is plastic and has higher plasticity. Castable refractory material can be mixed with certain amount of water and extruded to specific shapes.
4.According to purpose, acid-resistant refractory material can be divided into furnace linings, melting furnace bottom, heat exchanger pipe and heat conductive material and insulation material.
Performance of acid-resistant refractory material
1.High temperature resistance: acid-resistant refractory material can resist erosion and destruction under high temperature environment for a long time.
2.Good thermal stability: Refractory material that can keep good performance in high temperature needs not only good high temperature resistance capability but also good thermal stability. Acid-resistant refractory materials have better thermal stability.
3.Good Corrosion resistance: Acid-resistant refractories have good acid resistance, alkali resistance and various inorganic chemical corrosion resistance
Application of acidic refractory material
1.For industrial production: Acid-resistant refractory material is mainly used in industries that involve in high temperature, such like metallurgy, glass manufacturing and ceramics manufacturing. Acid-resistant refractory materials are used in those industries to resist thermal shock and corrosion, thus ensuring the safety and stability of industrial production.
2.For industrial chemical production: Acid-resistant refractory materials are also widely used in industrial chemical production, such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid and hydrochloric acid. By using acid-resistant refractory materials, industrial chemical production can be conducted safely and stably.
Conclusion
In conclusion, acid-resistant refractory material has many advantages, such as high temperature resistance, good thermal stability and good corrosion resistance. It has wide applications in industrial production and chemical production. In addition, due to its superior performance, acid-resistant refractories are becoming more and more popular among various industries.
