Horizontal Lathe Machine Table Milling Machine
This series of horizontal lathe machine table milling machine are highly modular, versatile machines. It is one of the most widely used machines in the machine shop due to its versatility. It is capable of making very precise cuts on a wide variety of components and materials.
The machine has a rigid cast iron base, which is machined to ensure the maximum stability of the machine and its components. The spindle head assembly includes a vertical spindle, ball screws, antifriction bearings and high torque gear motors. The ball screws and anti-friction bearings ensure smooth and accurate movements of the cutting head and spindle. The gear motor provides the necessary power to drive the spindle and cutting head.
The work table is adjustable to suit the workpiece sizes and can be positioned various distances from the spindle center line to meet the requirements of the job. The table is capable of swiveling in three axes, longitudinal, lateral and traverse, for setting and positioning of components.
The cutting head, also known as the vertical slide, is capable of swiveling in two axes; longitudinal, lathe and radial. It also has an adjustable vertical travel of 40 mm from the work table. The cutting head is supported by an adjustable support arm, with an adjustable travel of 25 mm from the spindle center line. It is possible to install the cutting head on either side of the table, depending on the work requirements.
The feed motor of the machine provides a digital feed rate setting with a stepless range of 0 to 50 m/min. The feed digital display is integrated with the feed motor. The cutting head has a digital readout that can be adjusted in increments of 0.01 mm/rev. and 0.1mm/rev. The drive belt tension system and the anti-backlash adjustment ensure a consistent and smooth feed and cut.
The work table has a four-way adjustable hood while the spindle feed arm has a three-way adjustable hood. The hoods have adjustable travel of 25 mm from the spindle center line. The hoods provide adequate lighting for working on the component.
The machine is equipped with coolant system and a water-cooled spindle which eliminates heat buildup during large cuts, thus extending the life of the spindle and cutting tool. It is also equipped with power quick-change chuck for rapid change of components and accessories.
