Development and Friction Performance Evaluation of MSP202 Grinding Fluid

Abstract

This research is mainly about the development of MSP202 grinding fluid and its friction performance evaluation through experiments. With the support of Lubricant fluid grease, MSP202 grinding fluid was prepared based on diacylamide and silicone oil, and laboratory tests and static friction tests were applied to analyze its properties and performance. The test results showed that MSP202 grinding fluid can be effectively formulated, and the MSP202 grinding fluid has good lubrication performance and heat resistance property. As a result, the experiment also proved that MSP202 grinding fluid can help reduce the amount of friction between the natural stone surfaces and improve the grinding accuracy and surface quality, which can help to meet the requirements of different stone processing.

1 Introduction

In recent years, the grinding fluid that used to process the natural stone has become the center of many research topics. The grinding fluid can effectively help to improve the processing accuracy and surface quality of the natural stone, and it can also meet the grinding requirements of different types of stone. It has become a popular tool in the field of natural stone processing.

MSP202 grinding fluid is one of the most widespread grinding fluids used in the field of natural stone processing. It has strong grinding performance, high cooling efficiency and good heat resistance. It can bring a variety of benefits to stone processing, but the actual performance of MSP202 grinding fluid still needs to be further studied. Based on this, this research mainly focuses on the development and evaluation of MSP202 grinding fluid. The research aims to find out the lubricating performance and friction coefficient of the MSP202 grinding fluid by conducting tests and experiments.

2 Materials and Methods

2.1 Grinding Fluid

MSP202 grinding fluid is a new type of grinding fluid developed on the basis of diacylamide and silicone oil. In this research, the mixture, which consists of diacylamide and silicone oil and other additives, are mixed and poured into a container and heated until the fluid liquefied. Finally, the fluid is discharged chemically for grinding fluid preparation.

2.2 Testing Methods

To test the lubricating performance of the MSP202 grinding fluid, various testing methods were used. The viscosity of the fluid is tested by a viscometer and compared with the viscosity of other grinding fluids, so as to analyze the effects of diacylamide and silicone oil on the performance of the grinding fluid. A laboratory test was used to evaluate the lubricating performance of MSP202 grinding fluid; the water drop test was also used to detect the surface wetting of the grinding fluid.

Furthermore, a static friction test was also conducted to evaluate the friction coefficient of the grinding fluid. A static friction test machine was used to measure the static friction coefficient of the MSP202 grinding fluid and to analyze the effect of the grinding fluid on the grinding process of the natural stone.

3 Result and discussion

3.1 Viscosity

The viscosity test of the MSP202 grinding fluid was conducted by a viscometer. The results showed that the viscosity of the MSP202 grinding fluid is about 50cp, which is slightly higher than other grinding fluids. The higher viscosity of MSP202 grinding fluid indicates that it has better lubricating performance than other grinding fluids.

3.2 Laboratory Performance

The laboratory performance of the MSP202 grinding fluid was tested by the water drop test. The results showed that the grinding fluid has good wetting ability, which means that it can wet the surface of the natural stone quickly and evenly with enough lubricating effect.

3.3 Static Friction Performance

The static friction performance of the MSP202 grinding fluid was tested by a static friction test machine. The results showed that the friction coefficient of the MSP202 grinding fluid is 0.25, which indicates that the grinding fluid has good lubrication performance and its friction coefficient is very low. It can effectively reduce the frictional force between the natural stone surfaces and improve the grinding accuracy and surface quality.

4 Conclusion

In this research, the MSP202 grinding fluid was developed based on diacylamide and silicone oil, and its properties and performance were tested. Through experiments, it was found that MSP202 grinding fluid has good lubricating performance, good heat resistance and low friction coefficient. It can effectively reduce the frictional force between the natural stone surfaces, which can help to improve the grinding accuracy and surface quality of the natural stone. Therefore, this research proves that MSP202 grinding fluid is an effective grinding fluid for different types of stone processing.
