Figure 1 shows the process of laser rapid forming, which mainly includes laser cutting, welding, sparking, laser sintering, cladding, and others. Laser cutting is to cut the part into desired shape or line by high-power laser beams moving in relatively small or large areas. Welding is to use laser beams to melt source materials and combine them by filling and connecting melted faces. Sparking is to use laser beam to remove sharp edges and remove burrs from a certain height. Laser sintering is to use laser to heat the material and achieve effects such as forming and surface hardening. Cladding is to use laser to heat and melt the source material which is then sprayed onto the substrate.
