Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), Fuzhou Branch
The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) is the national governing body for civil aviation within the Peoples Republic of China. It is an agency of the State Council and its headquarters are located in Beijing. The CAAC administers Chinas large, diverse and complex aviation system. CAAC is responsible for setting and implementing aviation regulations and for developing and operating the civil aviation authority and its affiliates.
The Civil Aviation Administration of China Fuzhou Branch (CAACFB) was established in 1993 and is located in the city of Fuzhou in the Fujian Province. It is one of the 11 branches of CAAC nationwide. The CAACFB is responsible for the operation, regulation, and development of aviation in Fuzhou and its neighboring area.
The CAACFB is a independent body, with its own organizational structure and administration. It consists of an Airport Office, Flight Office, Air Traffic Control Office, Air Safety Office, New Aircraft Office and Post Construction Office. Each office is responsible for its own particular tasks, such as airport operations and management, flight control, air traffic routing and safety, aircraft investigation and development, operation of new aircraft and general after-construction activities.
The CAACFB is responsible for ensuring that all the aviation-related activities in the Fuzhou area are conducted in accordance with international standards, in addition to being compliant with Chinese regulations. This includes the registration and classification of aircraft, airworthiness control, flight safety regulations and pilot training. Furthermore, the CAACFB is responsible for overseeing the operation of airports, heliports and airstrips, and monitoring the activities of airlines.
