YB/T5066-1993 Steel Strip and Steel Plate for Bicycle
Over the years, steel strip and steel plate technologies have greatly evolved. In recent years, China has further optimized product standards and improved the quality of products to meet the requirements of product development.
In 1993, the Chinese standard YB/T5066-1993 was born, which is used to specify the steel strip and steel plate for bicycle. The steel materials specified in this standard include hot-rolled carbon steel and low alloy steel such as Q195 and 45#. The carbon content of steel per unit area is not higher than 0.12%, and the aluminum content is between 0.02% and 0.05%. The requirements for mechanical properties of steel strips and steel plates shall not be less than the corresponding strength grades specified in the current steel standard. The surface quality of the steel strip shall not be less than the products of grade 8 of the current steel standard. The steel strips shall be supplied in a rolled or normalized state, with a flat and straight. The width of the steel strip is not more than 600mm and the thickness is not more than 13mm. The surface of the steel plate should be calibrated and the width should be kept within 600mm and the thickness within 40mm.
The main purpose of this standard is to improve the quality of the steel strips and the steel plates used in the manufacture of bicycles. Through the unified technical requirements, it can ensure that the steel used in the products is of good quality and reliable performance. As an industry standard, YB/T5066-1993 is not only applicable to the production of bicycles in China, but also can be adopted in other countries producing bicycles. Only through the common understanding of the technical requirements of this standard can we guarantee the quality of bicycle products in the international market.
