Analysis of External Factors Affecting the Service Life of Hydraulic Pumps
Abstract
Hydraulic pumps are widely used in various engineering machinery and automobiles, so their service life will affect the normal work of the entire system. This article will analyze the external factors that affect the service life of hydraulic pump from the aspects of working environment of hydraulic pump, installation method of hydraulic pump, media type and temperature of working medium.

1 Introduction
Hydraulic pump is one of the main components of hydraulic system. It conveys liquid energy to control the system functional elements. The service life of the pump is closely related to the normal operation efficiency of the entire system. To extend the service life of hydraulic pumps, it is necessary to analyze various external factors that affect the maximum service life of hydraulic pumps.
2 External Factors
2.1 Working environment
Hydraulic pumps should be used in a ventilated, clean and dust-free environment. The temperature of the working environment of the hydraulic pump should not exceed 70 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the relative humidity should not exceed 85%, and the pumped liquid should not contain chemicals that corrode the pump.
2.2 Installation method
When installing hydraulic pumps, it is necessary to choose suitable mounting methods to ensure the stability of the hydraulic pumps during operation. Wrong installation methods, such as not fixing axial clearances, will affect the normal operation of the pump and reduce the service life.
2.3 Medium type
At present, the commonly used media of hydraulic pump mainly include oil, water and air. Different media have different characteristics. The medium of pumps used in different working systems is also different. The selection of proper medium is an important factor that affects the service life of the pump.
2.4 Temperature of working medium
For the medium used in a hydraulic system, its temperature should not be too high or too low. Once the temperature is too high, the viscosity of the oil will decrease, which will accelerate the friction of the pump accessories. If the temperature is too low, the stability of the medium will be reduced and the normal operation of the pump will be affected.
3 Conclusion
In short, the external factors that affect the service life of hydraulic pumps mainly include the working environment, installation method, medium type and temperature of working medium. Hydraulic pump selection, installation and maintenance must pay attention to these factors to ensure the normal operation of hydraulic pumps and extend the service life.
