BJ-2 Sand Blasting Machine Operating Procedure
BJ-2 sand blasting machine is an advanced technology product widely used in the surface preparation of steel surface and nonmetal surface. It can widely used to clean oxide layer, rust, welding slag and scale, improving adhesion of coating, coating uniformity and appearance quality. In order to ensure its safe and effective operation, the following operating steps shall be strictly followed.
1. Preparation before operation
(1) Check if the power plug and the power supply voltage meet the technical parameter requirements.
(2) Check if the filter cloth of air filter is clean or blocked.
(3) Check if the connecting parts or pipes at the interface of the machine are in normal condition.
(4) Check if the abrasive has been loaded into the blasting hose, and whether the control switch of abrasive is in the correct position.
(5) Check if the gas source is connected correctly, and keep the gas pressure of the sandblasting machine within the specified range.
(6) Check if the exhaust filter and the vent filter are full of filter media.
(7) Adjust the blaster head and workpiece to the appropriate position and maintain the appropriate distance.
2. Operating process
(1) Turn on the power switch and adjust the abrasive flow rate of the abrasive metering valve to the desired speed.
(2) Connect the abrasive hose and spray gun with the abrasive hose, and start the sand blasting.
(3) Adjust the direction and angle of the abrasive spray nozzle, and adjust the amount of abrasive as needed.
(4) Keep the appropriate distance between the workpiece and the spray gun.
(5) When the sand blasting is finished, turn off the abrasive flow rate control switch, and then turn off the power supply of the blasting machine.
3. After operation
(1) Clean the surface of the workpiece with compressed air.
(2) Clean the sand-blasting chamber, the filter, the pipes and the abrasive nozzle.
(3) Clean the used abrasive in the hose and gas tank, and store the abrasive in a sealed container.
(4) Clean the filter cloth of the air filter, and check if the air filter is in good condition.
(5) Check the interior of the blasting machine and the connection parts of the abrasive hose, and check if the positioning parts and limiters of the abrasive head are in good condition.
(6) Check the running speed of the motor, which should not exceed the rated speed of the motor.
(7) Check the oil level of the lubricating oil and add the lubricating oil if necessary.
(8) Turn off the power switch of the blasting machine, and then turn off the power plug.
4. Safety precautions
(1) Wear protective glasses and protective clothing when operating, and do not let anyone assist in sandblasting if they are not wearing protective clothing.
(2) Keep the sandblasting room well ventilated to prevent over pressure.
(3) Open the safety relief valve in time if over pressure is found in the sandblasting chamber.
(4) When the blasting pressure is too large, the spring of the spray gun will be pressed. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the pressure of the air compressor, and adjust the pressure relief valve or feed water filter to reduce the pressure.
(5) When the sand blasting is finished, stop the blasting immediately and clean the sandblasting chamber.
(6) When the sand blasting is finished, cut off the power supply of the sand blasting machine and then unplug the power plug.
By operating in accordance with the above steps, the BJ-2 sand blasting machine can be used safely and effectively. Further, the user should regularly maintain and check the sand blasting machine to ensure its better performance and working efficiency for a longer life.
