Position Description for a Sales Executive

Introduction:

The Sales Executive is a full-time position responsible for sales administration and customer service. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager.

Scope of Responsibilities:

The Sales Executive’s principal responsibility is to provide excellent customer service and sales administration. The Sales Executive is responsible for responding to customer inquiries, entering orders, maintaining customer records and following up on customer orders. Additionally, the Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers as well as identifying sales opportunities. The Sales Executive must also adhere to all applicable federal and state laws concerning sales and customer service.

Qualifications:

The ideal Sales Executive must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, be detail-oriented and have a pleasant personality. Additionally, the Sales Executive must demonstrate the following qualifications:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Minimum 3 years of sales experience with a proven sales track record

• Excellent knowledge of sales and customer service principles

• Superior written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently

• Professionalism and a positive attitude

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Ability to travel

Performance Objectives:

1. Provide outstanding customer service to all customers

2. Manage sales inquiries and enter contracts

3. Proactively identify potential sales opportunities and secure profitable deals

4. Develop and maintain relationships with customers

5. Follow up with customers regarding orders

6. Ensure compliance with federal and state sales and customer service regulations

7. Keep accurate records of customer information and purchases

8. Troubleshoot customer issues and resolve them in a timely manner

Working Environment:

The Sales Executive typically works in an open office setting with occasional travel to meet with customers. The Sales Executive must adhere to all safety protocols and must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
