China Nonferrous Metal Industry Association Tanta-Ga-Ha Branch
Founded in 1995, the China Nonferrous Metal Industry Association Tanta-Ga-Ha Branch (CNMIATGHB) is a professional, non-profit organization that promotes the production, trade and application of nonferrous metals in China. Its members are composed of companies, institutions and research organizations in the nonferrous metal industry, including producers, processers, dealers, users and investors.
CNMIATGHB is committed to helping the industry develop in a healthy and sustainable way, while protecting and promoting the legitimate interests of its members. As an information exchange platform and authoritative voice of its sector, CNMIATGHB actively analyse demand-supply trends and promote policy dialogue within the industry. It also attempts to strengthen exchanges of industry knowledge, technology and more with enterprises, institutions and individuals both in and outside of China.
The Association is made up of eight committees, each of which are responsible for specific areas of nonferrous metal production and work to push the industry forward. These committees include the Tanta Committee, the Ga Committee, the Ha Committee, the Metals and Alloys Committee, the Refining and Processing Committee, the Science Development Committee, the Quality and Inspection Committee, and the Information Center. The committees provide well rounded coverage of the industry and a variety of services, such as:
•Facilitating research and innovation in the fields of raw material exploration, resource development, smelting, refining, processing and equipment manufacturing
•Developing research initiatives related to environment protection and energy conservation
•Hosting seminars, lectures and technological exchange conferences
•Promoting the development of new products and advanced technology
•Providing training and education programs
•Organizing marketing, selling, and service activities
CNMIATGHB also publishes 26 periodicals, including industry-related information, market analysis and advanced industry technology, as well as two specialized books in Chinese:《China Nonferrous Industry Handbook》 and《China Nonferrous Metal Refining Handbook》.
In addition, some of the regular and occasional activities that CNMIATGHB holds include:
•Hosting a national meeting of nonferrous metal industry producers, processors and dealers each year.
•Organizing an annual Nonferrous Metal Conference and Annual Products & Technology Exhibition.
•Regularly, produced analysis reports on the development of the tanta-ga-ha nonferrous metal industry.
•Organizing and editing Nonferrous Refining Journal and Nonferrous Technology, along with other magazines.
•Organizing and carrying out the China Nonferrous Executive WorkingCommittee.
•Organizing and carrying out the China Nonferrous Chief TechnologyCommittee.
CNMIATGHB’s main objective is to promote the sustainable development of China’s nonferrous metals industry. Through the establishment of sound industrial policies, advocacy and full-scale research, the organization seeks to expand the industry’s application, resources and market access. Moreover, CNMIATGHB works to strengthen exchanges and expand cooperation with production and processing enterprises within the industry, while improving the ability of domestic nonferrous metal enterprises in the global market.
