Paradise on Earth
There is one place that I love more than any other, a place I can always return to and will never get old. That place is home. Home has the softest of touch, the strongest of embraces and a warmth that can only be found there. When I walk through the door, I am instantly accepted. No matter where I’ve been, what I’ve done, or how long I’ve been away—a loving embrace is always waiting for me. No matter the place, no matter the time, and no matter what else is going on, I always feel the same peace.
Home is the place I can go to escape the world. It’s the only spot where I have complete control. I always feel safe, secure, and comforted. Nothing and no one can take away the wall of protection and happiness my home gives me. I could surround my home in a force field and it still wouldn’t be enough to keep the blissful feelings of contentment away. I am in total control and I can do anything here that I want to do.
Everything in my home is mine; nothing is taken and nothing is shared. It is the one place where I can truly be me. I can wear whatever I like, eat whatever I want, and watch whatever I choose. I am not judged, I am not bothered, and I am not asked to do anything I don’t want to. The freedom I feel when I am at home is unparalleled, because really—It’s paradise on earth.
It doesn’t matter what other things I may have in my life, my home will always be my sanctuary. My home is my fort; it is my refuge, my kingdom, and my true love. No matter how many years pass by or how many people or things come and go, home will always remain my favorite place. It will always be my safe haven from the world, a spot to charge my batteries, and a place of comfort no matter the situation. If we all had the ability to recognize what a beautiful gift it is to have a place to call home, maybe our world would be a slightly better place.
