Introduction

In this era of technology, communication has become easier and faster. Advancement in technological devices has helped us do so many things with ease. Mobile phones, internet, and computers are the primary factors that have helped us in communication and staying connected to one another. But the most effective of all these is the internet. More than any other technological device, internet has made our lives way easier. It has made the functioning of tasks simpler, along with promoting diversity in how we can use it to reach out to each other.

The History of Internet

Internet has been around for decades now, with its use first being seen in the 60s. ARPANET was used at first, and it connected computer systems to each other in the US. In the 70s, the intention of creating computer networks was studied, and various research and independent organizations started planning out their implementation. This was followed by a number of controlling systems, such as TCP/IP, along with the creating of the language of the computers, thus helping them to talk to each other. It was only in the 80s when private people used the internet and the idea of World Wide Web was presented, thus bringing in a new era of the internet.

The Types of Internet Protocols

In the world of computers, communication is everything. Without it, no task or sharing of information can be done. There are two types of internet protocols which can be used for this purpose: Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and Internet Protocol (IP). These two protocols are responsible for exchanging information from one computer to another. They work together to ensure that the data that is sent is secure and reliable.

TCP is used for managing the data in the form of packets, thus ensuring proper sharing of files. On the other hand, IP is used for saving the information or shared packets to the intended recipients. Both these protocols make sure that the data is secure and remains safe from any external sources. One of the primary benefits of these protocols is that they are universal and can be used universally. It doesn’t matter which system one is using, these protocols can be used to communicate and communicate easily.

Conclusion

It is safe to say that internet is the most successful invention in the history of mankind. It has truly revolutionized the way communication is done. With advancement in technology, we have come such a long way in leveraging the use of the internet and its protocols, especially TCP and IP, to make sure that information is shared in a secure and reliable manner. With internet being so easily accessible, it has become very easy to connect to each other from any corner of the world. And thus, the usefulness of the internet, when it comes to communication, can never be overstated.
