Research on Computer Aided Cutting Tool Selection for Numerical Control of Mould Cavity
Abstract
In order to improve the machining accuracy and surface quality of the mould cavity parts, maximize the working life and economic effect of the mould cavity parts, reduce the difficulty of machining and improve the machining efficiency, this paper studies the selection method of cutting tools used in numerical control processing of mould cavity parts. By comparing and analysing the import and export parameters of cutting tools and machining requirements, this paper introduces the theoretical basis and research method of cutting tool selection, and finally puts forward the computer aided cutting tool selection scheme.
1 Introduction
The development of machining technology into the era of numerically controlled technology is the development direction of machining technology. In the rapidly developing numerical control technology, the process of numerical control machining of mould cavity has great advantages and has been widely used. It requires the selection of appropriate cutting tools for numerical control machining of mould cavity. The cutting tool selection is very important for the machining of the mould cavity, which directly affects the surface quality, accuracy and service life of the parts. The research of cutting tool selection methods can reduce the difficulty of machining and improve the machining efficiency.
2 Cutting tool selection basis
The selection basis of cutting tool is to ensure that the cutting process is reasonable and economical. Reasonable selection of cutting parameters, cutting tools and auxiliary equipments can ensure that the cutting process is stable and the machining accuracy is achieved.
2.1 Cutting parameters
The selection of cutting parameters mainly includes cutting speed and feed, and the cutting parameters are not the same for different cutting tools. The selection of cutting parameters to meet the machining requirements has a directly proportional relationship with the cutting tool. 5 Conclusions
The selection of cutting tools is very important for the machining of mould cavity.
