China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Company (hereinafter referred to as “CPCC-Zhenhai”) is a large-scale petrochemical enterprise in China. It belongs to China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “Sinopec”) and is located in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. CPCC-Zhenhai was established on November 5, 1982, and it is one of the main implementing units of Chinas comprehensive energy plan and a large-scale comprehensive downstream petroleum and petrochemical production base.
Since its inception, CPCC-Zhenhai has always worked hard and strived for success. In 2005, CPCC-Zhenhai formulated a high-speed development strategy, will accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure, and promote the optimization of the product structure and the acceleration of the development of high-tech products. In 2009, CPCC-Zhenhai focused on expanding the ethylene project, vigorously promoted the project for the development & construction of modern petrochemical industry; and in 2010, built the new marine oil platform, and this finally enabled CPCC-Zhenhai more efficiently and quickly to deepen resources exploration.
At present, CPCC-Zhenhai has formed a refining and chemical strategy, focused on the construction of a modern two-base mutually complementary, flexible and efficient LOGISTICS system, updated equipment with advanced technology, developed the petrochemical industry and built the modern enterprise, and strived to provide an advanced platform for China’s petrochemical industry development.
