Introduction

GCr15SiMn bearing steel is widely used in various kinds of rolled bearings and can be used for different models and sizes. It has good comprehensive properties, high hardness, high-frequency quenching performance, higher load capacity and good fatigue resistance. Compared with ordinarychromium bearing steel, GCr15SiMn bearing steel has excellent comprehensive performance, high strength, high hardness, good wear resistance and fatigue resistance, good machinability and welding performance. Composition

GCr15SiMn bearing steel is a kind of low carbon alloy steel which is mainly composed of carbon (C), chromium (Cr), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn) and other elements in a certain proportion. It contains 0.95 to 1.05% of carbon (C), 1.35 to 1.8% of chromium (Cr), 0.15 to 0.3% of silicon (Si), 0.6 to 0.9% of manganese (Mn) and trace amounts of sulfur (S) and phosphorus (P).

Physical and Chemical Properties

GCr15SiMn bearing steel has a higher strength and can be directly used for hardening. The hardness value before quenching can reach HRC50-HRC60, and the hardness value after quenching can reach HRC14-HRC20. Heat Treatment

GCr15SiMn bearing steel can be used for oile-hardening, water-hardening and air-hardening. After heat treatment, the hardness can reach ?HB270-HB330; and the hardness after quenching can reach ?HRC14-HRC20. After carburizing and quenching, the bearing with GCr15SiMn bearing steel can have lower manufacturing costs and long service life.

Application

Because GCr15SiMn bearing steel is excellent in terms of comprehensive performance, it is widely used in various kinds of rolled bearings. It has low prices but good performance, so it is the most widely used bearing steel material. GCr15SiMn bearing steel belongs to the family of bearing steels, which is a kind of high carbon chromium bearing steel with a Mn content of 1.0~1.45%.
