Tianjin Engineering Machinery Research Institute
Tianjin Engineering Machinery Research Institute (EMRI) was founded in 1985, has been dedicated for 33 years of research and development on engineering machinery, vehicles and related technologies. EMRI is located in Tianjin city, which is a major port city in northeastern China. Primarily it focuses on the research and development of engineering machinery, vehicles and related technologies. It cooperates closely with the industry and participates actively in the international exchange and cooperation.
The Institute focuses on the machinery of construction and engineering. For example, the products EMRI develops are those that are used in hydraulic engineering and construction, such as bridge cranes, engineering transportation vehicles and machine tools. The institute also focuses on the development of more extensive and special-purpose products, such as military equipment and environmental engineering vehicles.
The Institute develops and manufactures products of high practicality and quality, such as drilling and milling machines, shape cutting machines, cutters and five different kinds of special purpose vehicles. It also develops new machines and technology for applying in the operation of engineering.
The Institute has a perfect technical capacity, which is evidenced by the 21 state-level product patents, the six state-level experimental systems, and the three state-level innovation platforms which it has developed and applied. It has standardized production lines and automated processing laboratories. There is also a complete set of testing instruments and tools for inspection.
The Institute has always been devoted to technological innovation and product design, and set up a “Creative Design Center” for independent innovation. The center possesses the most advanced R&D software and design platform in China, which allows it to more quickly research innovative new products and make more efficient developments in traditional ones.
