AISI 31658 (0Cr17Ni12Mo2N) stainless steel is an austenitic steel containing 17% Cr, 12% Ni, 2% Mo, and N. It is a high corrosion-resistant steel alloy commonly used in high temperature environments, such as process vessels and boilers. AISI 31658 is most resistant to acid corrosion, chloride ion corrosion, pitting corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, making it suitable for a wide variety of demanding industrial applications.

This particular grade of stainless steel is composed primarily of iron, with a significant proportion of chromium, nickel, molybdenum and nitrogen.
