China Petroleum Urumqi Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (“CPC Urumqi”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (“Sinopec”).Established in May 1990, CPC Urumqi is located in the northwest of China and serves as the core of the refining and petrochemical industry in Xinjiang. Its predecessor was Xinjiang Oilfield Design Institute and its main business covers the engineering design, production, storage and transportation of refineries, petrochemical plants, gas chemical plants and bio-chemicals. It is also one of the three major petroleum research bases of Sinopec.
CPC Urumqi’s main business includes refinery engineering, petrochemical engineering, gas chemical engineering, bio-chemicals engineering, environmental engineering, electricity and instrument engineering and business consultation. It also undertakes the cleaning energy construction, such as power station and heat power station, relies on the Sinopec’s state-of-the-art technology and advanced managing concepts.
