AISI S30210 Austenitic Stainless Steel
AISI S30210 is a ferritic-austenitic stainless steel containing 1% chromium (Cr) and 9% nickel (Ni). In most applications, this stainless steel is the cost effective alternative to the highly corrosion resistant and durability of austenitic stainless steels.
Chemical Composition
The chemical composition of AISI S30210 steel contains up to 18% chromium combined with 8-9% nickel. Besides the chromium and nickel, other elements such as carbon and molybdenum are also present in this alloy, although their content is significantly lower compared to the others. The following table lists the typical chemical composition of AISI S30210 steel.
Element Content (% by mass)
Carbon (C) 0.03 - 0.07
Manganese (Mn) 1 – 2.5
Silicon (Si) 0.5 – 1.5
Phosphorus (P) 0.04 max
Sulfur (S) 0.03 max
Chromium (Cr) 17 – 18
Nickel (Ni) 8 – 9
Molybdenum (Mo) 0.5 – 1
