GB 18299-2001 Motor Vehicle Liquefied Petroleum Gas Cylinder Integrated Valve
This GB 18299-2001 standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and user instructions of motor vehicle liquefied petroleum gas cylinder integrated valve. This standard applies to the integrated valves of liquefied petroleum gas cylinders for motor vehicles (hereinafter referred to as liquefied petroleum gas cylinder valve).
Liquefied petroleum gas cylinder valves are used to connect the valve and the liquefied petroleum gas cylinder structure and bear the hydrostatic pressure or internal pressure of liquefied petroleum gas. They have the functions of connecting, controlling, storing and storing pressure. In addition, the components exposed to engine compartment must also have the anti-corrosion treatment of engine compartment.
In terms of product structure, motor vehicle liquefied petroleum gas cylinder integrated valves consist of valve body, valve core, sealing parts and auxiliary components. The features of the product are that the valve body and the valve core are integrated or connected by welding or screw connection.
In terms of technical requirements, motor vehicle liquefied petroleum gas cylinder integrated valves must have the following properties:
1. The medium used to sealed the valve body shall be non-toxic and tasteless, and must not corrode the valve components and cylinder;
2. The surface of the product that is exposed to the engine compartment and fluid medium shall meet the requirements of the corresponding metal processing technology standard;
3. The maximum working pressure of the valve should be 0.03MPa or greater than the working pressure of the cylinder;
4. The valve flow characteristic should meet the requirements of the regulations, and should be able to meet the requirements of flow and shutoff;
5. There should be a release device on the valve, and an indicator device should be installed to indicate that the valve is in the closed state. When the valve is closed, the release device should not be able to release the medium from the valve.
The valve body of the motor vehicle liquefied petroleum gas cylinder integrated valve shall be made of forged aluminum alloy or gray cast iron or ductile cast iron. The valve stem material shall be made of low carbon steel and its surface shall be electroplated with chromium or zinc. The sealing parts shall be made of asbestos sheet or asbestos sheet impregnated with shellac. The parts of the auxiliary components shall comply with the requirements of the applicable material and processing specification standard.
In terms of test methods, motor vehicle liquefied petroleum gas cylinder integrated valves shall be inspected and tested according to the following items:
1. Appearance inspection and size check;
2. Performance test, including hydrostatic pressure test, vacuum testing, temperature cycling test, flow and shutoff characteristic test, etc.
In terms of inspection rules, motor vehicle liquefied petroleum gas cylinder integrated valves must pass the appearance inspection and performance test before being supplied to the user.
In terms of marking and instructions for use, motor vehicle liquefied petroleum gas cylinder integrated valves shall be marked with the name and address of the manufacturer, product model, working pressure, nominal diameter and other information as required; and the instructions for use of the product shall be provided.
In summary, GB 18299-2001 standard is a national standard that specifies the technical requirements and test methods of motor vehicle liquefied petroleum gas cylinder integrated valves. This standard applies to liquefied petroleum gas cylinders for motor vehicles. Motor vehicle liquefied petroleum gas cylinder integrated valves must be inspected and tested according to the standard before being supplied to users.
