Pipeline Valves Technical Requirements
Pipeline valves refer to the valve fittings used in the pipeline system to control the flow, pressure, temperature and liquid level of the medium. Commonly used valves are gate valves, globe valves, check valves, butterfly valves, ball valves, plug valves and the like. Valves are the most important elements of pipeline systems and the most frequently used equipment in industrial production. Their performance, reliability and safety directly affect the safe and economic operation of the system. The operation, maintenance and repair of valves also require certain technical knowledge and personnel, which also requires that the installed valves meet certain technical requirements.
The technical requirements for pipeline valves are mainly focused on the design and manufacture of valves, including structural design, size requirements, material selection, and pressure requirements.
1. Structural design requirements
According to the requirements of working conditions, the dimensions and parameters of the valve shall be determined to meet the specified working requirements, and the required sizes shall be determined for each part, and the leakage and strength calculations shall be carried out. In addition, in order to facilitate installation, inspection, operation and maintenance of the valves, reliable sealing performance and convenient installation methods should be considered in the design, and the design should be convenient for machining and inspection.
2. Size requirements
The size and size of the valve should meet the requirements of the relevant national and industrial standards, including the size and size requirements of the valve body, sealing surface, connection type, flow section and other parts of the valve. In addition, the dimensions and tolerances of the valve connecting parts shall comply with the relevant national or industrial standards.
3. Material selection
The material selection of the valve body and internal parts depends mainly on the requirements of the working conditions and the requirements of the medium. The material used must meet the requirements of the corresponding national or industrial standards, such as the internal pressure-resistant performance of valves, strength, temperature, corrosion resistance and wear resistance. In general, the material used of valves should not only be able to meet the pressure and strength requirements, but also have good processing performance, welding performance and wear resistance.
4. Pressure requirements
The working pressure of valves should strictly comply with the requirements of corresponding national and industrial standards, and should not be greater than the design pressure of the valves. For valves working under high pressure, its strength test pressure should be 2 times higher than that of the working pressure. The valve should also meet the requirements of PH value, temperature and pressure in different media.
In short, these are the technical requirements for pipeline valves. According to specific requirements in design, the technical requirements should be fully considered, so as to ensure that the valve supplied can meet the requirements of pipeline systems.
